Sandra L. “Snookie” Harrington, 74, passed away on Friday April 21, 2023, at the Center for Living & Rehabilitation in Bennington, VT.  She resided on Superior Street in Hoosick Falls and was the wife of the late Gerald W. Harrington Sr., who passed away in 2003.

            Sandy was born on October 4, 1948, in Hoosick Falls, daughter of the late Joseph and Clara (Parker) Benkoski.  She was educated at schools in Bennington, VT.  Sandy was employed by the New York State Health Department in Albany, NY, as a secretary.  She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls and helped at the local food pantry.  Sandy enjoyed gardening, her pool, shopping, gambling, traveling to Myrtle Beach and Las Vegas, she especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and family.

            Survivors include her children Ike (Kelly) Harrington of Las Vegas, Heidi Taylor of Hoosick Falls, her grandchildren Jacob Randall, Mattison, Garrett, Lane, and Max Taylor, Meghan, Che, Willy, Anthony and Chris Harrington, sister Linda Langlois of Bennington, VT, special niece Terry (Scott) Mosely, Sue Hickey and her cat baby cakes, also several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two sisters Lois Langlois and Joann Rice and a brother James Palmer.

            A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday May 4th, at 11:00am from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls.  The burial will be at Gerald B.H. Solomon/Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY.

            Relatives and friends may call at the church from 10:00am until the start of the mass.  Memorial contributions may be made to either the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad or the Town of Hoosick Food Pantry, through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street who are handling the arrangements
