It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved husband, father and Papa, Frederick L. Knuetter Jr., 63, passed on March 26th at Albany Medical Center.

Fred grew up in Berlin, NY and graduated from Berlin Central School.  He loved talking about his adventures of hunting and fishing local brooks with his friends.  While living as a young boy in Berlin he learned carpentry from Loyal and Dee Goodermote, there was nothing he couldn’t do.

Fred is survived by his father, Frederick L. Knuetter, Sr., of Berlin, NY, his wife of thirty-five years Terri (Harrington) Knuetter, daughter Jennifer Green, grandson Carter Green, a brother Mike Knuetter, all of Hoosick Falls sister Vickie (Knuetter) Lawrence, nephew Jarred Lawrence, wife Amanda, niece Emily of Santa Rosa, CA, niece Ashley Lawrence-Urice husband Ryan of Cameron, NC, nephew Todd Cipperly wife Sara and their children Kathryn, Alex and Bridget Cipperly of Central Bridge, NY, also many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Fred was predeceased by his mother Katheryn (Young) Knuetter.

Fred owned and operated Knuetter Logging, selling firewood to many local customers.  When you took a drive, you heard about wood lots and species of trees.   He was an avid hunter, fisher, ice fishing, trout fishing.  He loved to go to Hoosick Falls football games, Saratoga horse racing, playing blackjack and poker with his friends.

Funeral services will be on Friday March 31st, at 1:00 pm, from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY.  Burial will follow the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls, NY.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00am until the start of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Karen & Molly McGovern Memorial Fund in Fred’s memory, through the funeral home.
