Shirley H. (Verbeck) Bulson, 96, of White Creek, NY, passed away at her home on March 19, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born June 28, 1926, in Troy, NY, the daughter of Leland Verbeck and Annie (Jorgenson) Verbeck, and grew up alongside her brother, Warren Verbeck, on their family farm in Schaghticoke, NY.

Shirley was the wife of the late Foster Bulson, who passed away in 1989. They owned and operated a dairy farm in East Pittstown until 1985. She also worked various jobs outside her home throughout the years.

Shirley was very creative and took great interest in the world around her She taught herself to cane chairs and refinish furniture, had a great appreciation for nature, and immersed herself in learning about local and family history. She created beautiful flower gardens and enjoyed listening to music and attending plays and concerts. She was an active volunteer in her community, meeting people and making friends along the way. She especially loved sitting in the sun on an ocean beach, reading a good book.

She is survived by her children Ken Bulson (Gloria) of Schaghticoke, NY; JoAnne Borden (Tom) of Easton, NY; Cindy Deveno (Dan) of Thompson, CT; grandchildren Karlene Bushey (Shawn);
Kyle Bulson (Jody); Laura Guzman (Damian); Michael Borden (Lisa); Susan Borden-Snook (Chad); Melanie Deveno; and eight great-grandchildren.
