Nelson A. Bernard, 52, passed away on Thursday November 24th, at Albany Medical Center as the result of an accident at work.  He resided on Babcock Lake Road with his wife Julie (North) Bernard.

                Nelson was born on March 19, 1970, in Troy, NY, son of the late Gerald J. and Margaret J. (Schrell) Bernard.  He was employed as a concrete mason with the Bast Hatfield Company of Clifton Park, NY.  Nelson enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding bike and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

                Survivors other than his wife Julie include their children Michael (Kaitlyn) Bernard of Shushan, NY, Katarina (Gage) Bernard and Mersadeys (Jordan) Bernard all of Hoosick Falls, NY, grandsons “Papa’s Boy’s” Stephen and Jackson Bernard, Mason and Cole Hathaway, sisters Tina (Tim) Oswald, Cathy Bernard, brothers Matt (Barbie) Bernard, Patrick (Tammy) Bernard, Jerry (Jade) Bernard, Leon and College North father and mother in laws, Leon (BJ) and Thomas North brother in laws, also several nieces and nephews.  Nelson was predeceased by a brother Michael F. Bernard.

                Funeral services will be held on Friday December 2nd, at 8:00 pm, from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 pm until the start of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Karen & Molly McGovern Memorial Fund through the funeral home.
