Micheal J. "Sonic" DeTraglia, 60, passed away on Thursday August 11th, at his residence on Old State Road surrounded by his loving family.

Micheal was born on January 8, 1962, in Troy, NY, son of the late Frank and Ruth (McQuade) DeTraglia. He attended school in Cambridge, NY. Several years ago Micheal with his favorite backhoe Cat # 316 B, started his construction business, which later became DeTraglias Construction, which he owned with his son Brett and became successful with his son and daughter Raven. Micheal enjoyed many things including playing Texas Hold'em, throwing dice on the Craps table, deep sea fishing, bird watching and telling stories.

Survivors include his wife Theresa, sons Brett Micheal DeTraglia, Julian Micheal DeTraglia and daughter Raven Loisetta DeTraglia, sisters Susan Blair and Mary King. He was predeceased by a brother Frankie DeTraglia.

Funeral services will be Monday August 15th at 12:00 pm, from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Burial will follow the service at Island Hill Cemetery in Buskirk, NY. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10:30 am until the start of the service. A reception will follow the committal service at the Eagles Club on First Street in Hoosick Falls.
