Jennie Furbeck, 89, passed away on Saturday July 2nd, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, VT. She was the wife of the late Robert Furbeck who passed in 2006.

Jennie was born in Sussex, NJ, daughter of the late George and Sieska Boersma. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years retiring from the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, NY. She and her husband Robert enjoyed traveling, going to Blue Grass Festivals, going to their children's sporting events, golfing and spending time with family.

Survivors include her children Pamela LaForty and Jeffrey Furbeck both of Hoosick Falls, NY, grandchildren Patrick, Seth, Ian, Lucas, Emily and Jessica, great grandson Xad. Jennie was predeceased by a daughter Cheryl Carter, one sister and two brothers.

Funeral services will be Friday July 8th, at 12:30 pm in the Gerald B. H. Solomon/Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY. Relatives and friends may call at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, on Thursday June 7th, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation through the funeral home.
