Richard E. Gorman, 66, passed away on Friday April 1st at his residence on Church Street. He was the son of the late John P. Gorman Sr. and Marion (Bartoski) Gorman.

Richard was born on January 26, 1956, in Troy, NY and graduated from Hoosick Falls Central School. He was formerly employed at WCW in Hoosick Falls and served in the National Guard several years ago. Richard was an avid sports fan of the New York Giants, Yankees and Boston Celtics, and was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls.

Survivors include his daughter's Amanda, Nicole and Casondra Gorman, siblings Sister Colleen Gorman (Sharon McComber), John P. Gorman Jr. (Peg), Joseph Gorman (Regina), Marion “Betty” Ortolani (Rob Stryker), Francis Gorman (Karen), Kevin Gorman (Melissa), Ann Marie Gates (Larry), Laurie Bianca (Tony), several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews also his dear friends Clarice Harris and Roger Niles. Richard was predeceased by a sister Bonnie J. MacDougall.

Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the EC Memorial Fund through the funeral home.
