Peter H. Timmerman, 90, passed away on Thursday March 17, in Woodford, VT where he resided for the past several years. He was the husband of Doris (Lockrow) Timmerman of Eagle Bridge, NY with whom he just celebrated 66 years of marriage.

Peter was born October 2, 1931, in North Bergan, NJ, son of the late Gustav and Martha (Hansen) Timmerman. Peter moved to Eagle Bridge when he was 12 years old. Peter received his early education in New Jersey. When He moved to NY he attended Grandma Moses and Hoosick Falls schools. Peter worked as a Teamster driver for 30 years at St. Johnsbury trucking in Bennington, Vermont. He enjoyed restoring old cars , camping and his family. The past two years he enjoyed camping at Forest Lake in Winchester, New Hampshire.

Survivors other than his wife Doris include their children Mark Timmerman of

Woodford ,Vermont ,Timmy Timmerman of Fair Haven, Vermont and Tina (Michael) Will of Fallbrook, California, also seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Peter resided with his son Mark and special family members Geoff, Missy, Colby and Colton Crawford. Peter and Missy shared a special bond throughout the past several years she cared for him. Peter also enjoyed and spoiled his fur family Harleigh, Ella and Piper.

Peter was predeceased by three sons Glen, Paul, and Peter (residing wife Caroline)

A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Maher funeral home, 43 Main St. in Hoosick Falls New York. Memorial contributions may be made to the Town of Hoosick, Cambridge, or Bennington Rescue Squad through the funeral home.
