Obituary for Robert Allen "Stumpy" Kahler Sr.
Robert Allen Kahler Sr., aka “Stumpy”, 68, passed away on September 24th at home, due to cancer. He was born on March 1, 1953, to the late George Kahler Sr. and Dorothy Hanks Kahler (Cologne).
Robert worker as a roofer and general contractor, working for Ket Products and Pete Corellis Rubbish Removal for years. He enjoyed the outdoors, cooking, cribbage, music, watermelon and beer.
Survivors include his nine children Rosalie (Derrick), Bobbie Jo (Michael), Hunter, Paul, Darlene, Chris, Matthew, Robert Kahler Jr (Dusty), Dorothy (John) Green, and Shawn (Joyce) Kahler, sister Dorothy Braoudakis, brother Kevin Colon, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren also several nieces and nephews. Rest in peace Dad, til we meet again.
Funeral services will be Friday October 8th, at 6:00 pm from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 pm until the start of the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rensselaer County Community Hospice through the funeral home.
