Obituary for Mary L. Cook
Mary L. Cook, 78, passed away on Wednesday September 22nd at the Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Hoosick Falls. She was the wife of Robert Cook who resides on Cobble Hill Road.
Mary was born on June 7, 1943, in North Adams, MA, daughter of the late Gerald and Laura (Scarbeau) Brassard. She was a LPN and last worked at Kingsway Manor in Schenectady, NY. Mary was very active in her church including teaching Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed horse back riding and gardening.
Survivors other than her husband Robert include their children Marybeth (Peter) LaFlamme and Chad (Cindy) Cook all of North Hoosick, NY, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters Ann Wilton of North Adams, MA, Nancy Bourell of Adams, MA and a brother William Brassard of Granville, NY, she is predeceased by two brothers George and Gerald Brassard.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 29th, at 3:00 pm, from the First Baptist Church on South Street in Hoosick, NY. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, NY, who are handling the arrangements.
