Obituary for Jean S. Day
Jean S. Day, 78, passed away on Wednesday June 2nd, at the Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Hoosick Falls. She was born on February 5, 1943, in Bennington, VT, daughter of the late Homer L. and Florence (Coulter) Harrington.
Jean graduated from Bennington High School and Nursing School. She was formerly employed at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center and did private duty nursing. Jean was a member of the “Red Hats” and enjoyed cooking.
Survivors include her sons Mark (Dina) Stroffoleno, Scott (Jackie) Stroffoleno and William “Bruce” (Teresa) Stroffoleno, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren also several nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by a son Dale Stroffoleno.
A Private Graveside service will be held at the Village Cemetery in Shaftsbury, VT. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY
Contributions may be made to the ALS Foundation through the funeral home.
