Starlene Marie Taft(Kohler), 74 went to be with the lord on March 30, 2021. She was the wife of Berniss D. Taft Jr., they resided on Fox Hollow Road.
Starlene was born on July 16, 1946 in Hoosick Falls, New York to Walter and Alice(Cooke) Kohler. Starlene was employed as a day care worker at the Morning Star Day Care in North Hoosick, New York. She enjoyed taking care of children and was a avid reader.
Survivors are her husband Berniss Taft Jr, ,three sons Berniss Taft III of North Carolina, Leroy Thomas of Troy, NY, Kevin Thomas of Hoosick Falls, NY, Joshua Stevens, daughters Christine Thomas of Florida, ,Tonya Taft of Boston, three sisters Debbie Hanlon, Beverly Oakley and Rose Bogardus, four brothers Wayne, Billy, Robert and Teddy Bogardus. Starlene was also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephew's.
Funeral services will be held on April 12th at 12:00 pm from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, New York. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grafton Rescue Squad through the funeral home.
