Obituary for Marjorie H. "Marge" Moore
Marjorie H. “Marge” Moore, 90, passed away on Wednesday March 3rd, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. She resided on Wilder Avenue in Hoosick Falls and was the wife of Joseph E. Moore, who passed on July 12, 2020.
Marge was born on December 30, 1930, in Peekskill, NY, daughter of the late Edward and Ada (Travis) Horton. She was educated at schools in Peekskill and was employed at H.F.C.S., in the Cafeteria. Marge enjoyed crafts, needle point and reading. She was a member of the St. Stanislaw Society and a former member of the Elks Club Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children Edward (Ann) Moore, Jim (Kathy) Moore, Rick (Cindy) Moore and Sharon Moore (late Tom) also survived by four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Marge was predeceased by a granddaughter Laurie Moore, sister Dorothy Owens and two brothers Fred and Raymond Horton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday March 6th, at 10:00 am, from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Face masks are required and social distancing will be observed. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hoosick Falls. There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad through the funeral home.
