Obituary for William E. "Bill" Harris III
William Edward Harris III, 38, passed away on Monday January 4th, at the Berkshire Medical Center. He resided on Main Street in Hoosick Falls with his fiance' Helen Brown and her children Madison and Julianna.
William was born on July 24, 1982, in Bennington, VT, son of William and Hazel (Sherman) Harris, Jr.. He graduated from Mount Anthony High School where he was a national champion wrestler. William was formerly employed as a supervisor working with at risk youth. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing and his dogs. William was an obstacle course race athlete and a Spartan finisher. He was a member of the American Motorcycle Association.
Survivors other than his fiancé Helen include his newborn son Connor William Harris, his sisters Sarah Stratton and Alica Harris, and his nieces Cailtyn and Danielle Stratton. He will be remembered fondly as a passionate partner, a loving father, and a beloved son, brother and uncle.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter through the funeral home.
