Obituary for Charles A. "Al" Bailey
Charles A. “Al” Bailey, 72, passed away on Monday August 24th at the Albany Medical Center. He resided on State Route 29 in the Town of Salem.
Al was born on November 28, 1947, in Webster, MA, son of the late Charles and Mildred (Davis) Bailey. Al grew up in Hopkington, MA, and was a star basketball player for his high school. He was a career Military man, serving in the Air Force and Army for more than twenty years, retiring as a Sargent First Class. After retirement he enjoyed playing golf, doing crossword puzzles and following his favorite sports teams. He was a member and former president of the Eagles Aire #2467, in Hoosick Falls, NY.
Survivors include his daughter Erica Bailey and grandson Dylan Bailey both of Nashua, NH.
Relatives and friends may call at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, on Thursday September 24th, from 4:00 – 6:00pm. At 6:00 pm members of the Eagles will remember Al with their wake service.
Committal services will be Friday September 25th, at 12:30 pm in the Gerald B.H. Solomon/Saratoga National Cemetery, with full military honors.
Masks, social distancing and crowd limitations will be enforced at the funeral home and cemetery.
