Obituary for Charles "Charlie" Russell
Charles (Charlie) Russell, 77, passed away on Tuesday April 7, 2020, in Troy, NY. He resided at Woodbridge Heights in Hoosick Falls. Charlie was born on November 8, 1942, in Cambridge , NY, son of the late Earl and Bessie (Cate) Russell.
Charles was employed at General Electric and was a machinist until his retirement and his hobbies were fishing and hunting. Charlie fished countless times with his father, his brothers, nephew Todd and his fishing buddy Donald “Beaver” Bevis. And I’m sure they all have those BIG fish stories. His brother John, niece Vicky and nephew Todd looked after him for many years. (Charlie) will be missed and was loved by many.
He is survived by his last family member, sister Evelyn (Russell) Streton and predeceased by siblings, Minnie, Lawrence, Ruby, William, Robert, Charlotte, Alice and John.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110. Arrangements are to be handled by the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, NY.
