Dorothy E. (Parker) Lackey 94 passed away on Wednesday May 6, 2020 at the Centers for Living & Rehabilitation in Bennington, Vt.
She was born on November 19, 1925 in Hoosick Falls, NY., the daughter of the late Daniel & Eunice(Baker) Parker. Dorothy was employed at various nursing homes throughout her life as well as Nancy Shoe Factory n Hoosick Falls and Polygraphic Card Company in Bennington, Vt. She was a past member of the American Legion Post 40 Auxiliary & the St. Stanislaw Society in Hoosick Falls & the VFW Post 6340 Auxiliary in Grafton, NY.
Dorothy was pre-deceased by her late husband William, a half-sister Flora(Downing) Hoffman, a half-brother Francis Downing, brother Daniel Parker Jr, brother Harold Parker & sister Ruth Parker. Survivors include daughter Judy Bachorz, son Gary Lackey, 5 grandchildren: William Joseph, Leo, William James, Gary & Tammy, 7 great-grandchildren along with several nieces & nephews.
As per her last wishes, Dorothy will be cremated and buried in the Berlin cemetery next to her husband. There will be no viewing or funeral services. Arrangement are being handled by the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, NY.
