Obituary for Cheryl Labshere
Cheryl Labshere, 74, passed away on Friday September 20, at Albany Medical Center. She was the wife of Robert Labshere of Johnsonville.
Cheryl was born on May 27, 1945, in Hoosick Falls, NY, daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (Hill) Bakaitis. She was educated at schools in Hoosick Falls and SUNY Cobleskill. She was employed at various businesses, retiring from E.O.C./at Hudson Valley Community College, as a secretary.
Survivors other than her husband Robert include, son Gerald (Ashley) Young, sisters Margo Wilson and Lee Ann Bartosik, granddaughter Keisha Young, great grandchildren Devynn and Dyson, step-daughters Sherry Rivers, Debbie Labshere, Carrie Slater, step-sons Edward and Daniel Labshere. Cheryl is predeceased by a daughter Kimberly Young, who passed on March 31, 2018.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday September 25th, at 12:00 pm from the First United Presbyterian Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Relatives and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 am, until the start of the mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the Karen & Molly McGovern Memorial Fund, through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, who are handling the arrangements.
