Obituary for David P. Manning III
David P. Manning, III, 58, passed away on Monday February 4th, at the Albany Medical Center. He resided on Mechanic Street with his wife Denise (Moll) Manning.
David was born on January 22, 1961, in Troy, NY son of Gail (Mossey) Manning and the late David Manning Jr.. He received a degree in Accounting from Siena College. David formerly worked at Interface/Lydal in Hoosick Falls, where he was a past president of the United Steel Workers Union. He was also a former member of the Hoosick Falls Fire Department, Hoosick Fire Department, and Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad. David also helped with the Rensselaer County Fire Prevention Juvenile Program.
Survivors other than wife Denise and mother Gail, include children Heather Shaw (Kathy) of Bennington, VT, Bob “BJ” Shaw (Erin) of Greenville, NY, David P. Manning IV (Sarah) and Eric Manning (Maurica) all of Hoosick Falls, sisters Michele Kronau (Tim) of Brunswick, NY and Marguerite McMillen (Peter)of Wynantskill,NY, brother Joseph Manning (Jill) of Ft. Collins, CO, also six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday February 11th at 5:00 pm, from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 pm until the start of the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hoosick Fire Department through the funeral home.
