Dorothy A. (Schwoerer) Agresta, 98, passed away on January 11, 2018 at her residence on Bayer Rd. where she resided with Joe and Maureen. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Agresta.

Dorothy was born on April 4, 1919, in Hoboken, NJ the daughter of Otto and Mildred(Busse) Schwoerer. She worked 22 years for Radio Corporation of America and as a bookkeeper just prior to retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family and always looked forward to time spent with the Martinez family, Gloria and Philip. She also enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, and vacations in Florida and Cape Cod.

Dorothy is survived by her Son Joseph A. Agresta and Maureen Martinez of Hoosick Falls as well as close nieces Joan SanAndres and Barbara Doran in New Jersey. She leaves a dear friend, Ann Corsaro of Florida. She was predeceased by three sisters Lillian Brown, Edith O'Brien, Annette Dingman, two brothers Richard, Ronald Schwoerer and her daughter Judith E. Guttilla.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday January 17 at 11:00 am from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. The Burial will be Thursday January 18 at 11:00 am at the Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City, NJ.

Relatives and friends may call at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls on Tuesday January 16 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Karen & Molly McGovern fund through the funeral home.
