Marie Nugent, 84, passed away on Sunday November 20, at the Centers for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hoosick Falls. Marie and her husband the late Thomas Nugent formerly resided on Willow Street in Hoosick Falls.
Marie was born on January 15, 1932, daughter of the late Francis W. and Ann (Ladden) Driscoll. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy and was a homemaker all of her life. Marie enjoyed walking and could always be seen walking around town. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls.
Survivors include her children Maureen Toman (John) of Knoxville, TN, John Nugent of Bennington, VT, brother George Driscoll of Hoosick Falls, grandchildren John, Matthew, Michael Toman all of Knoxville, TN. Marie is predeceased by a son Frank, sister Nancy Driscoll, brothers Frank, Faye and John Driscoll.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday November 22 at 12 noon from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street. Burial will follow the mass at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hoosick Falls.
Relatives and friends may call at the Mahar Funeral Home 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls from 10:00 – 11:30 am. Memorial contributions may be made to either St. Mary's Academy, Immaculate Conception Church or the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad through the funeral home.
