Jean D. Harrington, 94, passed away on Wednesday August 22nd, at the Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Hoosick Falls, NY. She was the wife of the late Howard Harrington, they resided on County Route 68 in Eagle Bridge.
Jean was born on January 8, 1924, in Cambridge, NY, daughter of the late Hugh W. and Dorothy (Harrison) Moses. She graduated from Hoosick Falls High School and was a homemaker all of her life. Jean was a devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and always made home cooked meals.
She enjoyed being outside, gardening, hunting and fishing or just sitting in the sun. With a sense of humor she wrote many poems for family members. Jean also enjoyed going to flea markets and tag sales.
Survivors include her daughter Susan Burke (Steve), son Peter Harrington (Mary Anne), fifteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a son-in-law Bob Hamilton. Jean is predeceased by a daughter Glenda Hamilton and two sons Hugh and Mark Harrington.
Graveside service will be Monday August 27th at 2:00 pm, at the Center White Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to either the White Creek Fire Department or the White Creek Methodist Church through the funeral home.
