Richard R. Anson Sr., 85, passed away on Thursday May 3, at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, New York. He was the husband of the late Frances Anson who died in 1988.

Richard was born on March 29, 1933, in Albany, New York, son of the late Leroy and Viola (Pickett) Anson. Richard worked as a roofer for the Local Union # 51.

Survivors include his children Lynn Anson (George) and Joann VonHaggin both of Hoosick Falls, Richard Anson Jr. (Bonnie) of Schagticoke, NY, Paul Anson (Frances) of Albany, NY, nephew Robert Vincent Of Cohoes, NY, also sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was perdeceased by a son Thomas Anson.

Funeral service will be Tuesday May 8, at 1:00 pm from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, New York. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:00 am until the start of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society through the funeral home.
