Obituary for Diana H. Hynick

Diana H. Hynick, 69, passed away on Wednesday November 29th at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. She resided on the Hill Road in Hoosick, New York, with her high school sweetheart Glenn Hynick, they were married in 1967.

Diana was born on Christmas Day 1947, in Troy, New York, daughter of the late Robert G. and Margaret (Kimball) Hall. She graduated from Hoosick Falls Central School in 1965 and attended Austin Beauty School. Diana had her own beauty shop and also operated shops at the Bennington Hospital and the Centers for Living & Rehabilitation in Bennington as a beautician for several years

Diana had several jobs throughout her life including farming, selling real estate, maple sugaring and driving truck. She drove truck for Rifenburg Construction for eighteen years and was awarded driver of the year. Her hobbies included riding motorcycle, cooking, baking, sewing, spending time with her family, friends and schoolmates. She also competed in the Body for Life Challenge. There wasn't much she couldn't do.

Diana was a positive, kind, hard working, nurturing and caring person. She laughed and had the best sense of humor even up to the very last days of her life.

Survivors other than her husband Glenn include their four miracle babies Deborah (Anthony) Donohue of Argyle, NY, Mary Beth Hynick of Saratoga, NY, Breana (Rick) Clinton of Alpharetta, GA, Douglas (Heather) Hynick of Argyle, NY, sister Elaine Myers of Beacon Falls, CT, also six grandchildren. She is predeceased by two brothers Robert and Robin Hall.

Friends may call at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls on Monday December 4th from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to either the Leukemia Lymphoma Society or the Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation through the funeral home.
