Melvin F. Teal Sr., 75, passed away on September 14 at his residence on Smith Road. He resided there with his wife Gloria (Travis) Teal.

Melvin was born in Grafton, NY on September 8, 1942, son of the late Herman A. and Hazel (Vars) Teal Sr.. He was formerly employed at the Nancy Shoe Company in Hoosick Falls, WJ Cowee in Berlin and R.P.I. College in Troy, NY. Melvin enjoyed hunting, gardening, auto racing and the time he spent with his family.

Survivors other than his wife Gloria include their son Melvin F. Teal Jr., of Petersburgh, grandchildren Maria N. Teal and Melvin F. Teal III both of Buskirk, NY great grandson Gavin Teal, and sister Irma Babcock of Hoosick Falls, NY. Melvin is predeceased by a sister Betty Bass and three brothers Alvin, Robert and Herman Teal Jr.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to Rensselaer County Community Hospice through the funeral home.
