Nicholas N. Sousie, 73, passed away on Saturday September 9 at St Peters Hospital in Albany, New York. He resided on the Buskirk/West Hoosick Road with his wife Susan (Surdam) Sousie.
Nick was born on September 29, 1943, in Ausable, NY, son of the late Napoleon and Lillian (Dennis) Sousie. He operated Nick Auto Body in West Hoosick for several years. Nick enjoyed bowling, stock car races, darts, horse shoes and camping. He was a member of the Eagles Arie # 2467 and St. Stanislaw Society both in Hoosick Falls.
Survivors other than his wife include their children Nicholas N. Sousie (Veronica) of Hoosick Falls, Gina Beaudoin (Richard) of Catskill, NY, Beth B. Jeske (James), Anna C. Zoszak (Stephen) all of Schagticoke, NY, Carla Longstreet (Anthony) of Bennington, VT, Laura Navoian of South Carolina, Angela Kotewicz (Vincent) of Ohio, Joelle Grande (Nick) of Clifton Park, NY, Nichole Shalkowski (Brian) of West Hoosick and Christina Sousie (Mark) of Hoosick Falls, also twenty-three grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He is predeceased by five sisters and seven brothers.
Funeral services will be Wednesday September 13, at 7:00 pm from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, New York. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00pm, until the start of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mahar Funeral Home.
