Anna C. Peabody, 97, passed away on Monday September 4, at the Centers for Living & Rehabilitation in Bennington, VT. She resided on Scott Street in Hoosick Falls and was the wife of the late Robert Peabody Sr., who died in 1984.

Anna was born on February 8, 1920 in Hoosick Falls, daughter of the late Daniel and Malinda (Valentine) Bogardus. She was educated at schools in Hoosick Falls and worked at Undergarment in Hoosick Falls. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. Anna enjoyed going to the casino's and playing bingo and the slots. She most enjoyed time spent with her family.

Survivors include her daughter Catherine Whitman (Gordon) of Bennington, VT, sons Robert Peabody Jr. (Chris) of White Creek, NY and William Peabody (Kathleen) of Hoosick Falls, NY, also twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren. She is predeceased by three sisters Julia Rychick, Marie Szetela and Elizabeth Fairbanks also two brothers Daniel and William Bogardus.

Funeral services will be Saturday September 9, at 11:00 am from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Burial will follow the service at Woodlands Cemetery in Cambridge, NY.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 am until the start of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad through the funeral home.
