Peter L. Hansen, 81, passed away on Friday August 18, at Albany Medical Center. He resided on West Main Street in Cambridge with his wife Margaret “Peggy” (O’Neil) Hansen.
Peter was born on November 28, 1935 in Ozark, Arkansas, son of the late Hans C. and Ruth (Cutler) Hansen. He was educated in a one room school house receiving his high school diploma. He then entered the Army serving form 1959 – 1962, in the tank division. Peter was employed at Tripoint, Oak Mitsui and Honeywell retiring in 2001. He was currently employed at Cambridge Valley Machine part time as a Quality Inspector. Peter had many interests which included reading, anything mechanical, Science, History, Hiking and gardening.
Survivors other than his wife Margaret include their children daughter Ne ---- , sons Peter W. and Patrick, grandchildren Marian, Peter and Devon, sisters Marian Murphy (Ron) and Sally Hansen, brothers John, Ted, Frank and Karl Hansen. He is predeceasd by sister Clara, brothers Chris, Dan and Tom.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions maybe made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, New York who are handling the services,
