Jane B. Winegard, 92, passed away on Monday October 26 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vermont. She resided at Wood Park Apartments and was the wife of the late John “Jack” Winegard who died in 1985.
Jane was born on October 18, 1923, in Passaic, New Jersey, daughter of the late Harry and Emily (Newbery) DeLaMater. She was employed at the Cluett and Peabody Company in Troy, New York for forty years. Jane was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Hoosick Falls where she also volunteered at the Thrift Shop for many years. She also volunteered at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center as a Grey Lady for thirty years.
Jane is survived by her sister-in-law, several nieces and nephews, as well as many close friends, including her dear friend and caregiver Bea Petersen. Jane is predeceased by two brothers Charles DeLaMater, Harry Blair and a nephew Jeffery Blair.
Funeral services will be Monday November 2 at 11:00 am from St. Mark's Episcopal church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial will follow the service at Hoosick Rural Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday from 10:00 am until the start of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, New York who are handling the arrangements.
